Well I finally pulled the ghia out of storage for some late summer early fall exercise. Started right up after some cranking to fill the little single carb with gas. Now to do a few repairs on it.
The 914 took its place in storage until spring after having fun all summer long.

These cars like their exercise. It has been five years since the BobD did more than a day on the road. It has been almost ten years since the Squareback has been out and about. Drive!

I don't think either BobD or the Squareback are convertibles with old leaky tops! Actually on my Ghia it's the rear glass seal that is dried out, cracked and just doesn't seal so rain can get past it onto the back storage shelf. I pretty much only drive it when it's dry out due to that problem that only can be solved with a new top. I'd love to install one maybe next year it's in the cards.
I still have to install the repaired proper Ghia gas tank, new steering box, tie rod ends this winter.

Don't talk to me about tops......don't have one in the northeast, but warmer than a motorcycle.

Adjusting the choke in our Ghia is difficult right now. 57f in the morning leaving for work and 89f in the afternoon leaving for home.

You poor dear. Bundle up.
I can't get anywhere with the choke on NaranjaWesty, it's like fuel injected or something.
