Everyone. Readers and posters alike. I've learned tons here. I've also learned that learning is among the most fun things you can do.
This. And only this.

I did not put words in your mouth. I said that you declined. That is a verb, not a quote.
Calls to accuracy require accuracy.
Goodbye, turk. Enjoy your "powder" or whatever you called it.

Dear Lord what a drama! I am looking for the story at the grocery store checkout because inquiring minds want to know, well maybe not.

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

With the relentless rain here in the northeast, I have no doubt of my rich and fulsome between-the-toes contribution to the stink.

Isn't this exactly the outcome turk insisted upon Chi? The legend of his own mind affirmed? Will he ever see outside his own navel of extraordinary brilliance and subsequent persecution? I hope so, but it's pounds and pounds of crow I suspect his ego is unable to digest.

Personally I'm ashamed of my own overly inflated ego that contributed to the meltdown.

I meant learning about anything.

Self-discovery notwithstanding, I just learned what "forechecking" is. :study: And I'm a Canadian! :pale:

I need to make sure I consider that more often.

Me too.

And I'm constantly impressed and inspired by Neal's insight.

I've read this concept as: "We dislike in others that which we most dislike in ourselves"

It's certainly true in my experience. The "striving to change" part, though, I'm not so sure of.

All of that aside, I don't think my dislike of turk's arguments is invalid. For me, what he says is annoying, as well as how he says it. It's so annoying that, like others, I'm driven to confront it. A fool's errand. A lose-lose.

I too, regret and apologize for my participation. :pale:

thanks for this, I couldn't have stated how I felt about it any better.

I look forward to the new posts on the board other than 'sucks' and 'the axe falls' but I suppose laundry this dirty doesn't air out overnight.
