We need examples of both parties over-reaching.
Off my head, I have Obama’s TPP deal and Trumps desecration of Bear’s Ears.

Trump is doing more reversing of Obama's unconstitutional overreach than overreaching himself.
Please explicate . . . . lawmakers who had protested Obama, insisting he was bypassing Congress, were eager to support Trump’s orders to restore "enhanced interrogation techniques" and travel bans, reduce women's access to abortion services, open up libel laws, firing James Comey, announcing that the government would defund jurisdictions that did not comply with his immigration orders, yeah a district court in California ruled that Trump overstepped his powers as president, calling his threat "ominous, misleading," and the other actions like his executive order to vacuum up voter data under his "voter fraud commission" that alleged that rampant voter fraud occurred during the 2016 presidential election, a claim that experts have disputed again and again and again, oh and the list of Trump actions that have run afoul of the courts such as Trump's executive orders defending "religious liberty" by allowing them to politicize from the pulpit, it just goes on and on, disgustingly.

Yeah, Trump is some "Constitutional Scholar," protecting us from that rogue Barack Obama . . . sure.

Well, you sort of tried to respond, I guess, but it does not rise to level of "explicate". Explicate, in this case, would be to offer a supporting fact.

I will interpret your last sentence as the old Obama statement "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."
He was roundly criticized by republicans as "lying" here.

In 2009 and again in 2012, PolitiFact rated Obama’s statement Half True.
No one knows exactly how many people got cancellation notices, because the health insurance market is largely private and highly fragmented. Analysts estimated the number at about 4 million (and potentially higher), out of a total insured population of about 262 million.
That works out to less than 2% of the entire healthcare market where people were not able to keep their plan.

Meanwhile, In his first 10 months, Trump told nearly six times as many falsehoods as Obama did during his entire presidency. This is a supportable fact.

So, wanderer, feel free to try to explicate again.

What overreach are you referring to here? Is that DACA?
Not DACA, the laws are pretty clear that the executive branch has a lot of sway over immigration policy. A fact which Democrats were fine with under Obama, but now fight on every front.

I was thinking along the lines of directing the EPA to go way beyond its legal mandate, writing the Clean Power Plan, which amounts to a new law that only Congress can draft. Another big one is cancelling the Keystone Pipeline by diktat, even though it is similar to a dozen other pipelines, and should have been permitted under the laws as written. What was especially galling about that one is it was bad policy, and just a sop to his base.
Instead of bringing in oil from an ally by the most efficient and environmentally responsible manner, it would have sent that oil to the coast to be loaded on a CO2 and smog belching tanker across the ocean to Asia, and replaced it with oil brought in by another CO2 and smog belching tanker across another ocean.

It's not a discussion about climate change, it's about constitutional authority. It seems those who are most paranoid about Trump were all for Obama's expansion of presidential power.

Current immigration policy is discriminatory. First hand documentary evidence proved this. Regardless of any need to change legal immigration policy - current policy is informed by racist rhetoric and that should be morally wrong in anyone's book. Implementation of immigration enforcement is destroying families, causing harm to innocent. law abiding people and is generally cruel. I Suspect this is why a large number of people including Democrats (there are people other than Democrats who are fighting this).

Oh brother. Did you read the quote? It was clearly a joke. I don't think anyone believes he will try, let alone get, 2/3s of the states to agree to change the Constitution on that one. I guess what they said after the election is still true, the Democrats and their media allies take Trump literally, but not seriously.

He would be far more effective if he realized that as president, everyone hangs on his every word, and he doesn't have to say stupid stuff to get attention anymore.

The police have been seizing suspected criminal's cash and assets for many, many years.
