Yuck! Did you see all the other conspiracy nutcase videos queued up to the right?

Obama signed an executive order demanding better fuel economy standards for US vehicles.
The republican congress of course, said no, the auto makers said, "we can't" and yet I have to read conspiracy nuts call Obama an asshole for not improving fleet fuel economy in the comments?

The miz, Bleyseng, and some others have been overseas recently. What were real world mpg figures for diesel Passats?

Thanks for destroying my browser history forever with this idiocy, dingo.

...we'll see what I get for a rental car in a few weeks when I'm back in Germany again....I'll keep you posted.

Also, although the advertised spec on my Jetta TDI was 42 mpg highway...I routinely average 50-52 on my commute to work...but I'd love to get the numbers that guy is talking about!

...hey...does anyone remember the diesel Chevy Cruze that was available for like 10 minutes about 2 years ago???

Thanks for chiming in. I do not remember the diesel Chevy Cruze, but I can imagine poor timing of its introduction with diesel prices going above that of gasoline.

The ones that I drove were about the same as here 40+mpg. I had a 4 cylinder turbo diesel Isuzu 4x4 truck (same as a Chevy Colorado) that got 30mpg city! Best truck I have ever had too, 175hp/300+ftlbs of torque. I wish I had brought it back to Seattle as maintenance was just about nil other than filters/oil. Made that noise when idling like steel marbles were in the engine banging around thou.
