I can do Thursday/Friday/Saturday but can't get Sunday off so would have to head home Saturday before Sasquatch start's stumbling around.

Got the tranny back in the Bus at last, should hopefully be at the Lab monday.

after all the fuel delivery and injection stuff i've replaced on the van, now i i'm dealing with the relatively straight forward problem of no spark. ah, but which wire?? replace the whole loom??

anyway, out of the camping game for still longer...

I vote for Bear Camp up on Rho Ridge, the terminus of the Rho Creek Trail where we camp't last. It is freakn gorgeous up there.
224 to Ripplebrook
46
63 turn right
pass 70
about 3.5 miles LEFT on 6350
stay on 6350 for about 6 miles
at GRAHAM PASS - LEFT on 4670
Bear Camp will be on the right, about 1.5 miles

The orange hubcap was stolen last trip, I will have to make another one.

Re: Rho Creek Trail (#)
8/13/07; 8:51:42 PM ¦ by Donovan
The trail with the weathered sign I believe heads into the meadow which appears to be grown in with lodgepole pine. It is hard to follow but I haven't worked very hard at it. I suspect it comes out at an elbow in the 4672 road to the southeast. The old guard station, collapsed, is down the trail to the left after crossing the top of Rho Creek traveling west. I have been told that there were two guard stations at this vicinity, one of which burned with a kerosene mishap. I think it was at a higher location based on the old photos, closer to Graham Pass. The meadow was large and open in 1937. All the timber to the northwest was burned off, hence the mossy cairns. There is yet another old sign post at a corner in the switchbacks above the Guard Station junction indicating a trail towards Jim Meadow. Very faint, but blazed.
PS Be careful around these parts during hunting season.
