That looks good for the price. Not one pic of the engine...

Go get it, Larry. Change the oil, adjust the valves, and drive her back to Vermont.

Yeah if that one has decent compression and looks fairly clean in the engine compartment I'd say it's worth considering.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

I'm really digging the Craigslist bus. That's more like it!

Well, try Europe as I was there for 3 months. Prague is awesome and Portugal is beautiful, warm and not very expensive...

Re: This or That...time to re-enter the VW World
I got a reply from the guy with the first bus...
He asked if I would match an offer out of Japan, it was for a couple grand less.
After thinking about it, I declined.
The bus wasn't as mint as I thought

Seriously, throw all the ineffable 'feels' out the window and arrange to buy Naranja, if such is possible. A Colin-vetted bus is worth its weight in gold. Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

That bus is just around the corner from me. I've seen it drive by a few times, but haven't ever been able to catch up with the owner so I know nothing about it except that it drives. If you are serious about it I can go take a look at it and crawl around to get some undercarriage pics for you.WaterDawg wrote:Here is another that I was looking at. Thank you, that is a very nice offer and I must decline at the moment. FYI, he has reduced his price recently, but something Mitch said struck a chord with me. No, not about Naranja, but about the investment.
There is a specific reason why I needed my money to not depreciate and perhaps I need to stop putting off that reason and just do it.
So for that reason, I am suspending my search for another bus and pursing my original dream...I need to go sailing.

Why not do both? (Just don't try to cross the Channel)WaterDawg wrote: So for that reason, I am suspending my search for another bus and pursing my original dream...I need to go sailing.

Re: This or That...time to re-enter the VW World
A sailboat is, perhaps, the only thing that you will spend more time and money fiddling with than a bus. Larry, please rethink this...we need you back in the bus community. Sailing has more than enough weirdos in its ranks. I know, the nude sailing aspect appeals to you, but come on. You can drive a bus naked.

Can or did...I won't tell.
No, sailing has been a dream for many years. It was time to either let it go or pursue it.
You all will always be family though.
