Then there is the issue with homeless individuals and illegal immigrants who continue to bleed the system dry and never pay.
This is so ooooolllllddddddd and worn out.
We taxpayers pay more for their emergency room visits than we would by subsidizing them through Obamacare. this is why Obamacare has already begun to level off national healthcare costs.
So, do homeless individuals "bleed the system dry"? Is that how you see it? Can you give us a number as to how much illegal immigrants cost our health care system? Please factor in their labor contribution to the economy.

Yes, Colin you are correct plus the millions of uninsured who went to the Emergency Rooms for care. Remember it was Ronald Reagan who made it mandatory for the Hospitals to care for the uninsured.

One only has to look at Californias healthcare system and see it's effects. This country is still reeling from Reagan effects when he passed the EMTALA Act and flooded the streets with the mentally ill.

I tried reading them all, and I'll pick the most reputable news source to comment on. (Even though it's a sub page of Forbes not penned by staff writers.)
"State insurance regulators announced that they were closing the co-ops in Kentucky, Tennessee, Colorado and one of the two in Oregon."
So what we have here are state agencies closing federal programs that aren't performing. That sounds fishy, especially when we consider the successful Co-Op states like Maine, (which has a program so successful it's branched into New Hampshire.)

What it really shows is that there will never be a silver bullet...one size fits all fix. Government needs to govern not get in the business of running a business. what this country really needs is a solid 20 years of heavy across the board deregulation. We have become to saturated with laws, regulations, policies etc...

Yeah, let's get rid of the EPA and environmental laws as we can look to that shining example China on how to manage air quality. Everyone just wear a mask!

No one is immune from being heavily over regulated these days not to mention the redundancy. Plenty of pork to be cut across the board. This is why cost/s have risen so much across the board. In the end we the taxpayers get stuck paying for something we shouldn't have to pay for. If ones concern is about the environment then it needs to be done willingly and at no cost.
When ones asks for money or says it will cost X amount...I'm highly suspicious. So should anyone.
