I have always loved the Type 3s. They really were fine cars in the midst of mediocrity.

I also had a 64 1500S Square Back that I drove all over the West Coast. Had a gas heater so a favorite for ski trips or camping as I would put a pad in the back to sleep in.
I finally found a pic of my 1972 bus....

Hah! Bleyseng, I have that same '70's photo album with the crazy gummed diagonal lines to stick the photos on, and the clear acetate sheet goes over them. I was looking at your pic, and trying to think what was so familiar about it! Was that your house, or some concrete bunker? And, nice fastback in post, too.
