I'm hoping to make this one, probably just show up and crash someone's asphalt instead of reservations 1,000 months ahead of time.

She wants to go!!! :flower: :compress: She said spending the weekend in a yurt at the coast sounds like the perfect way to spend our anniversary. She even insists on making something for the pot luck!!! We'll just need some alone time.

You're welcome to use our Asphalt, Hamster.

Who needs reservations? The B and C loops aren't *closed*, they're just not *reservable*.

Glad you and your bride can make it, Randy! Potluck on your deck sounds good ... our group always puts together a great spread. Beer tasting Saturday (why wreck a tradition) ... and if folks wanna kick in on a pony keg ... I can arrange for that too. Crossing my fingers for decent weather...we've been spoiled the last couple of years...and the star-gazing last year was unbelievable ... I've never seen that type of night sky over the ocean.

Just found out we have to pay an additional 10% even if you've already paid for your spots in full. Darn Tillamook County Lodging tax that goes into effect Jan 1st.

I got that email today too. First of all how is camping considered "lodging"? Then I think it's complete horseshit that I have to retroactively pay that tax on reservations I've had since the beginning of October. :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

I myself have not made reservations this year but you're saying they want to tack on extra charges on a reservation that was already made?
I myself would just show up without paying the extra charge.

Problem is that if you don't call them and pay by January 31st, your reservation is no longer valid.

You all need to cancel. Think of the statement and revenue they'd loose in just that weekend.
Really though, that stinks. If you don't pay, no reservation. If you cancel, you loose your reservation fee.
Yet another reason I avoid "our" campgrounds.
"Tillamook County Lodging tax" is this just a Tillamook thing?
I think writing to whomever sent this out is in order.

Assinine. If you paid in full, it shouldn't matter if they raise their rates after the fact. What kind of crap is that?
Campgrounds suck anyway. Pay to poop? Forgetit.

Mark... are you going to get a keg this year? If so, I'm in.
