OK, the last post of the 2019 Itinerary season shall be the "Results Just In" post where you all see how much money this concern brought in, and how much of that money then went right back out.
That is not this.

This was a business trip down into swanky Florida where all the business people go for seminars and meetings and retreats, and Itinerant Air-Cooled is no different.

On the way down, NaranjaWesty stopped at some I-10 MM161 Rest Stop to have a spot of coffee with British travelers, Lee and Willow of instagram.com/thekombichronicles, who love their Volkswagen so much that they had it shipped from Britain to the US so they could drive it in the US. Met the luckiest most curious kitten in the world, Aimee, now a world traveler as well.:

Hit the road another 200 or so miles from Pensacola and found this other orange Westy heading in pretty much the same direction as me:

Thought I, I must meet this creature as well:

In her element here, she of Volkswagen Westy, was delightfully erudite and adventurous:

I was reminded to report to the readership that this phone-holding shot in the middle of beautiful lands was in service of finding the business seminar, NOT checking for "likes":

We did find eventually the address of the business seminar:

It was a good seminar, though the internet service was slow enough to bodge some of the presentations:

Eventually, we had to make our way back to our respective business concerns:

We will introduce new offerings over the winter and spring, bumper stickers and timing scales then the first issue of the 'Zine, and next fall, calendars and heck, maybe before the sun goes red giant, we'll have a book for you.

The British ... so understated.
Though I do agree with you, tommu, I have been blasted enough times with enough detours to understand that it all comes to pass in due time. How about you at this point of your perspective? Did your detours serve a larger purpose than just to drive you crazy?

Oh, JR was right there at the moment of impact, 71whitewesty.

Sunshine shall find an honest professional who is not only devoted to good work and quality results,
but loves these cars for their craftsmanship ...

Without doubt. Detours can take you to such unexpected conclusions or trajectories that, with hind sight, they become the journey itself.

Then again they can lead you to rebuilding your engine three times..

Is the book you're writing now very different to the book you intended to write a decade ago?
