Happy Birthday! Hope you learn to sorta like your new phone. It can be handy but I commend anyone that can live without it too.

Happy Birthday. This whole thread was a great read.

As for smartphones - it's just another tool. Use it for what you want, ignore the rest of it. Sounds like you have it well under control.

It ain't so. It was a little dabble to see if I was just being resistant and stubborn.
Answer: Not just resistant and stubborn, but rather, old and fumbly.
The "Smart Phone" is hereby being trained and lobotomized to just play my damn music in the Lexus.

(in the interest of full disclosure, I unfortunately have to admit that I was honked AT, at a red/green light because I was trying to get the "smart phone" to display the "playlist". The shame. The shame)

BobD. Started right up. But I could smell a mouse-pee smell and that made me heartsick ....

(to be continued)
.... and that is why I am driving the Lexus up to Atlanta in sixteen hours (enjoyin my toons!) to park it in the BobD's bay, and I am taking the BobD back down to Pensacola to detail it, put in the new window chrome, *paint the NaranjaWesty wheels that have been on it for two and a half years already!?!* and otherwise make it feel wanted again.

Led Zeplin?
Edward Elgar?
Philip Glass?
Stravinsky?
Asiab3?

I don't know exactly why, but that first selfie just tickled my funny bone to the extreme. The combination "WTF??? / Oh, SH*T!"" expression on your face is priceless, and also perfectly captures my own reaction to the view out the windshield of this crazy world at the moment.

Happy Birthday! I'll be joining you at milepost 59 in September. Hope it's a smooth road.

Happy birthday. I write this message to you from my phone. I despise it for anything significantly detailed but it's convenient for quick messages.

Glad you asked, it is only a seven hour trip up so:

Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Rachmaninoff - duo Bösendorfers - Russian Easter
Philip Glass - 1000 Airplanes, Glassworks, Koyanisgatsi or however you spell it
Doors - Light My Fire, Strange Days
my beloved pissed-off Fiona Apple and Alanis Morisette first albums

I have to be careful with music. Music owns my moods far more than the other way around.

That phone takes pictures out both sides. You have to swipe something as yet misunderstood to get the camera to look out vs look back. The whole time I was trying to find the magic button, it was taking silent pictures triggered off the volume-up button .. .. ..
.. .. .. just like silent presidential campaigns waged off of Facebook members' shared food shots and kitty videos.

Your foray into the new millennium was initiated with an overdose of the dreaded “selfie”.

Wait till I show you what tumblr has to offer hahahahahah!

Woah! I am back, 8 months later. I shut things down for awhile and started saving my pennies upon deciding to do a rebuild, or I should say, have a rebuild done. That being said, the engine is at our local club's mechanic's shop and awaiting his attention. I will continue this "train of thought" in the thread I started for my bus many moons ago.

Please do keep us updated. I am about to pull the trigger on two sets of cylinder heads from Len Hoffman.

Indeed I will keep you updated, if not somewhat involved. I am looking forward to the forthcoming itinerary schedule and hopefully, your passing through this area will coincide with getting the engine back in.

I am looking for suggestions and recommendations (specifically relating to parts and brands), questions to ask, and points to make with regards to working with my guy Clyde. Thanks in advance.
