I was first in to this thread and I am unable to afford a day as I still have the '67 beetle that I bought last year which has kept my funds locked up tighter than a [...]

bummerohwellmaybenexttime :thumbleft:

However, I will be around to assist, banter, and learn at the Bishop, GA visit with Hobus and the crew; this is part of my local posse (Athens VW Club) that is getting the tech time. I am looking forward to the social side, the wrench-assist side, and seeing ya in the flesh yet again Colin.

I am just so happy that they hooked up with you! Glad you found that oil drip from that confounded bolt. I had bought the tap set to take on that chore when they were here, but the bolt tightened when I put it back in. I shudder to think of them going along with a stream of oil catching in the windstream, in a diminishing thread...that beautiful little bus...

Heck, they could join Againes513 in the House Of Itinerant Horrors, flywheels embedded in walls, seized bearings, chewed-beyond-belief axle nuts,
"wha, what happened to that that whatever it was?"
"Oh. Oh, you don't want to know."
