I have been watching the weather for our appointment this Friday. We have had maybe 3 hours of sun total since Mother's Day or at least it seems that way. When it's not raining, the clouds drape themselves over the mountains with the gloomiest gloom that I can recall. Remember the green from last year? Well the rain has turned it to green x10. Did I mention how much those little deer ticks love this weather?

The report for this Friday was showing more clouds, more rain and upper 60's. But wait, I just checked the weather again:

Partly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 40 percent.

What is that 's' word in the forecast? What do you mean 80's? What to wear? I don't own any jean shorts. I don't even have any jeans to cut down. And forget about a white tank undershirt!

I don't want to get my hopes up because around here anything can happen. For instance, yesterday was supposed to be sunny and warm, but turned out to be exactly the opposite as I shivered under a dark blanket of clouds that shrouded everything in flat dull gray light.

Then again this was the view out the back door 5 minutes ago which was preceded by a few hours of what else but torrential downpour:

At any rate, I am looking forward to your visit to kick off the Memorial Day weekend. Gotta remember to buy the Diet Coke....

Well it is a beautiful day here today in Maine at the beach. Sunny and a balmy 68º as I type this. Amskeptic should be here in a few minutes and the fun shall begin!
