Are these cute little pigs dangerous wild boars? They did have this attitude where if I moved, they would come towards me, which struck me as a tad intimidating.

Those are javelinas (peccaries) - I think they are relatively harmless...just don't feed them. That's when people have had problems with them. Apparently they also can attract mountain lions, as they feed on them. We saw them at the Desert Museum in Tucson.

They can be.
Bust a cap in the alpha and see if they get more or less aggressive? :blackeye:
