High Rock Outhouse Camp - Sept 9-11 2011

Post by hambone » Mon Jul 25, 2011 1:00 pm

Part II of last year's restoration. Hal and I fixed the interior in 2010, now the outside needs a coat of paint. It shouldn't be a very big job, but the camp is very nice. Tables, firepits, spring, and all for free.
Hal has been avoiding me lately so I don't think he's going. :bootyshake:
Anyway I thought I'd throw something out there. If no one can make it then I don't mind going solo.

Last year for the curious:

'Sfunny,

Kubelwagon was talking about this camp this past weekend. This'd be a good one, Mike.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

Avoiding you? Not on porpoise I swear!

It's just that trying to go camping with Youse Guys got harder when I had to start working Sundays .. again.

Easier to go through Estecada, IMO. More stuff to check out on the way and less places for congestion.

I agree. It sure would make campin' easier if Estacada was home.

I wanna go to this. I'm going to have to take off sometime Saturday afternoon/evening or else get up early the next morning to go home, clean up and be at work by 10AM Sunday...

Campin' would indeed be easier if Estacada was home .. but then you'd be living in Estacada. :geek:

Hey, maybe we outta push this to the 12-14th weekend. Slayer's playing at the Memorial Coliseum on August 5th (Friday), and I think it would be absolutely awesome to see Hambone in the moshpit .. 'specially if they play Raining Blood:

I don't think it's likely, but it would be awesome. :cyclopsani:

I think that is about as likely as hearing a Muzak version of Angel of Death on your next elevator ride

Forest Service Brown is a color? Freaky. Boxcar red...
Honesty, I'm not ready for another camp in Mosquito HELL after 6 days of it up at Hambone. They are up at a similar elevation and location, and High Rock is right on a spring.
Would anyone mind if we bump this forward a few weeks?
