That weekend is right between NWSS and Dead on the Creek. I have a feeling I'll need it to regroup and get the bus ready for the run to N Cal.

I hate to miss this one, it's one of the best!

Post lots of pics.

The sign is missing, actually. I found that one in the bushes and propped it up. Next year it was gone.

So is this the actual campground?

Who's all going? Anywhere close by to fish? Carabus or are we all on our own?

Sigh. I really, really want to go. But my special someone had gone and made plans, which include me, up in WA. IF I can nudge them back a week then I'm all in. Otherwise, I may be trying to arrange a "My wife made me miss the big campout, so I'm going this weekend instead" outing in August. :(

Yep that's it.
224 to 57 to 58 to 4610 at High Rock.
LEFT on 4610, climb, look for Abbot Road sign on dirt road heading LEFT at crest of hill. Watcher ass on Abbot Road, steep narrow and rocky with a dramatic dropoff.
I will be there some time mid-week, God willing.

I'm determined to catch some edible size fish this summer. I think I'll head to Timothy Lake on Thursday and do some fishing before Hambone Springs.

Timothy may be pretty crowded, come to Hambone instead and fish another time ya fishing freak! Or go somewhere this weekend and get it out of your system.

When are you heading out? You want early company? Either way I'm fishing the day before. I'm dreaming of gorging myself on trout!

We need a fishing emoticon!

I'll let you know. Going up to S. Fork this weekend with my brother, coming back for a day or 2, then heading to Hambone. I still want to spend many days up there.
Maybe you could meet me up there on Thursday? I'll be there for sure by then, and it'll give me a day or so alone with my kid. We need some time together.

Wow this camp is next week, I can't believe the lack of interest here. Kind of a bummer, I miss these trips with you guys. RIP IAC NW camps, no sense getting all crazy if there is no interest. Sure won't stop me! :king:

Sounds great. I'll fish at Hideaway and/or Pyramid on Wednesday and head up to Hambone on Thursday. Hopefully I'll have some fish to share!

Try your hand at Harriet Lake. The camp isn't much, right on the road and damn busy, but there are always tons of fisherfolk when I pass thru. Also the manmade lake as you drop down into the Clackamas. Faraday Lake?
