Eva will be with me. The missus is staying home and getting bar-coded.

Do you have some directions to the actual camp spot? Looking at location B on Google Earth and can't tell what's a camp site.

As always I recommend a Clackamas R.D. map. Good to know where you're going where electronics fail.

Plan A Camp (Rho Creek):
I205 south
224 east to Estacada
Past Ripplebrook G.S.
to
FS 46 (right)
Stay on 46 for a while, keep track of where you are. The next turnoff is JUST PAST FS42.
RIGHT onto 4670
Cross the Clackamas on 4670 and take an immediate left on FS4671. Stay left at the junction.
Cross Lowe Creek. Go around a curve and the next creek crossing is Rhododendron Creek. Campspot is right before the creek, on the right. Ya can't miss it. It will be all paved roads! If you hit gravel then you're lost.

Plan B camp is behind Big Bottom:
Take a left onto 4671 (like above) but instead turn RIGHT at the junction on 4651. Follow this narrow gravel road about 3 miles. Our camp is on the right just past Kansas Creek.

I'll try to put up a sign at the 4671 T junction, but I can't promise it will stay there.
Good luck, may God have mercy on your souls.

So just go where the line ends and look for paper plate signs? I may go when you go, depending on when that is.

Out? This is your preferred weekend. Don't make me quote you. Am at a loss for words...

Sluggo, bring a copy of the map above and follow it, don't count on paper plates. It's pretty easy to find if you pay attention. Both camps are alongside of the road. It will be good practice anyway, as most of our camps are pretty deep in the backwoods.
I'm still not sure when the heck I'm getting out of here. Hoping Thursday afternoon. Eva was home sick today.

I am hoping that the van will be in shape to go. I am also hoping to find someone who can leave Friday around 5ish (when I get off work) so that I will have a ride to cell service for a tow if need be. The van isn't a sure thing at this point.

I'm just not keen on heading out solo in an 'iffy' ride.

I think Hal maybe is leaving at that time on Friday. I'm hoping to be out there Thursday evening. We may even get a couple inches of snow! How exciting. But up to 60 on Sunday.
Sluggo, you still thinking about heading out Thursday? Can you be at mi casa by 2:00 if so?
Gypsie, bring your kid! :sunny:

My friend Ryan might be coming. If he comes I'll be leaving Friday around 5PM. Gypsie, Hal & I can caraBus out, perhaps? If not, I'll leave on Thursday with the Hamster.

My bed will be ready (finishing the rear mattress today) and I scored an almost new 0* sleeping bag at Salvation Army for $6. No freezing at night and no leg cramping, WOOHOO!!!

I *might* be able to make it out Friday after work, but early Saturday is more likely. Too much crap at the house I'm still catching up on...
