The road to Badger Creek
Starting to get all the gear I need. Forgot to bring an extra blanket and paid for it.
Hamster's setup.
Bob tryin' to look dignified.
Busses at night.
Replaced a missing bottle cap to someone's attempt at art.
Beautiful & Amazing.
John & his new Bass.
The drive home.
Went the wrong way on fr43 and ran into this. Went around the little bend to see if it was just a patch and saw that it went all the way up. Did a reverse slip & slide out of the snow. Turned around after remembering we went through The Dalles via the Lewis & Clark Trail.
More beauty on the way home.
Found some abandoned houses and had to explore. It's funny how I find beauty in decay.
Still more beauty on the drive home.
Wish I could have stayed for the last day but my Bus is not meant for sleeping in.....yet. I'll be installing a Z-Bed & sink soon. Then you won't be able to get rid of me.

What a GREAT weekend!
Jason, Randy I love the pics you really captured the feel of things.
I'll keep playin' the hell out of the bass it really feels like the instrument for me, and to actually be heard fergodsake!
Good to see everyone made it home safe.
Till the next trip!

Re: 5th Annual Badger Creek Camp and Hoo Hah - March 2011
I am so bummed that I missed this trip due to my paranoia and uncertainty. (the little yellow man took over..)
Looks like a blast was had. Did y'all end up at the end of 140? looks like a couple of creeks were visited and flat high ground at camp. Beautiful pix.
I did get some of the wagon's issues resolved and am determined to make the April B-Day trip, (hint, hint)...

Yes Gypsie, you were missed! We camped at the end of 140...awesome spot with room for MANY buses. I surprised the gang by showing up on Saturday...got clearance from my loving wife so said "jeez, it's only 45 minutes from my house....GOTTA go!" I brought my chainsaw, so your presence was felt by all. Next time.

Re: 5th Annual Badger Creek Camp and Hoo Hah - March 2011
Almost the end (repent BTW) on a little knob. Yep.
Yes the camp (although not dreary or dreadful by any means) was seriously lacking your particular fever. I will leave the sob-filled nights up to the imagination - though they were very real, and a chorus shared only by the frogs.
A painting unfinished, so let's go down the Clacky in the next couple weeks. Big Bottom? Big trees too.
I know a nice little camp go figure. Old growth.
I sure wish you guys lived closer. If we wait long enough then perhaps plate tectonics will bring us nearer - the new town of Porgene Ridge-Pin. Population: <very fruity voice> sheer madness!

Re: 5th Annual Badger Creek Camp and Hoo Hah - March 2011
Actually Mark, Jason & I were having a conversation about the problems we are experiencing with the full length canopy. It's not the same quality as the shorter GoWesty canopy. The long bars at the front & back bend slightly in the middle which looks bad & could bend beyond repair in the future. You can also see the seams at the ends and around the velcro straps stretching when assembled. It stretches enough that you can see the little holes from the threads stretching open at the seams. From what I understand, the shorter one has sealed seams. All three of us had the same problems after only two uses. Mark & I were going to send Ron an email but I forgot until just now. I just sent mine.spiffy wrote:Love the new canopy Randy, full length looks like the way to go.
