Request for Camping Testimonials

Post by hambone » Sat Feb 12, 2011 12:41 pm

Hi, I have a humble request for those of you that I've taken camping in the Cascades. Would you mind writing up a couple sentences that I can use on my website? I won't use your full name. I think it would be great to have some sort of proof that I've been doing this successfully for a while, and what potential clients could expect on these voyages.
Thank you! Please send me a PM if you're interested in helping out. I only have my infinite gratitude to offer as thanks. Or maybe I'll bake you a pie. YES A PIE disclaimer: pies not available in Oregon or Washinton. pies are implied only

Take me camping in the cascades and I'll post a review. I have plenty of free time now.

This is Hamster's thread and I don't want to hijack. Lost my job and not that worried about it anymore. Apparently when you make good money for a while you get good unemployment benefits. Taking my time to find the job I want.

Here's a few words:

"Bob showed me some great things about the Clackamas river system and the surrounding forests that I hadn't realized. I grew up in Portland and had done quite a bit of camping in these forests but Bob's interest in the history and uses of the area really shed new light on these trails. Seeing maps from the 30's and visiting camps and trails that have been long forgotten and reclaimed by the forest opened my eyes to a whole new dimension of the outdoor experience. He's shown me things to look for and ways of peeling back the layers of the signs to reveal the natural wonder and footsteps of those that have passed before. I can imagine the mule trains walking down the trails, loaded down with supplies for the forest ranger on fire watch for the summer...50 years ago! His hobo sammich's cooked in the fire are great too. Each trip has been and eye opening experience.

Ask him about how to dig a proper cathole..."

You can edit at will but proper cathole diggin is pretty important. I'd keep that part. :joker:
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

"The views were fantastic and the food was even better! And then there was the music ... high and lonesome sounds wafting gently around the campfire on the last night capped off a truly unique camping experience we will never forget."
