WORK TO CAMP. Is there really any other reason?
But that's just me. Once I git off this inty-net y'all will be wondering what the hell happened to the IAC's Norm. :pirate:
Think about it, I'm the perfect person to snap. :cyclopsani:

How the heck you guys can handle all this city life is beyond me. Too much stuff. It just doesn't feel right... But wherever you go, there you are.

True dat.

The area immediately around my house doesn't feel much like city except for the 82nd Avenue corridor. The only common local wildlife creature I haven't seen in the area is deer -- squirrels, raccoons, possum, nutria, beaver .. there's even a redtail living around here, saw it perched on a phone pole behind my backyard earlier this morning.

You had to pick the one weekend that String Cheese Incident is playing @Horning's Hideout?

They haven't done that since 2007.

Same weekend as the Bug-In at PIR .. just like last year.

Kirk was bitching about that at the Lab last night, he's doing the PIR thing 'cuz he's got a bunch of stuff to sell.

IF you kindly look back a page or 2 in this very thread, you will see my repeated inquries about the date.
This is coming up quick, who can make it? July 16 work? Or later?

Do enjoy camping any and all times that you can. Even the Lamest ones ever...

I'm sure everyone else will as well, and they won't have to relocate to Topeka to do it, either.

Hopefully those times and places will converge time and again.

Sometimes not.

I'm out for this one.

Eight days tent camping out of a Volvo in the beautiful San Juans the following week will be enough to sate my needs for a spell.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

Ok then...not sure what to say about that. I always love the woods rest assured. But am disappointed that the ICONIC Hambone Springs event has trickled down to nothing. It has been quite a hoot in the past.
I think it's time to give these camps a rest and just go do my own thing.

I would've been there for sure but the timing just didn't work out this time. Next year should be much better for me as far as camping. I just had to much work besides work to get done this year. Took up all my time on the weekends. Plus summer only started what two weeks ago around here?
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

It's cool. Bottom line: I really miss camping with you guys.
Plus I get nervous driving down Abbot by myself or with Eva. But what the hell you only live once.
Not everyone is wilderness crazy like me, and I understand that.
