As of right now, all three of these dates work for me. As asked previously, do we want to keep it flexible and watch the weather or pick one and lock it down? I'm game either way. Reservations should not be necessary that late in the season 'round here.

After labor day, kids go back to school, campgrounds are pretty empty.

10/9 would be better then 10/23. Who's in?

Let's do it. If we get enough commitment here we'll do the group site otherwise we'll go separate but adjacent.

Ok, gimme tonight to clear it with the wife and I'll commit tomorrow. 10/9. Ryno, Chi, Hippie, Turk, Yonder, mattg, locoqueso, Manfred? What a fun way to end the Midwest Camping Season with an IAC trip.

Are we shooting for 10/9 then? I think I can work something out to make it happen.

End of season? I think not. You need to do some late camping on the Kankakee with Turk and I.

You boys are sooooo South of me. You probably enjoy Christmas brunch on the front patio. :geek:

I like cold camping. No hot sweaty nights, no bugs, big campfires, drinking good beer.

My wife confirmed that we CAN INDEED make Nelson Dewey for the weekend of 10/9. Who else is bringing kids? We have a 4 and 5 year old.

We're about a month away from the proposed date at this point. Anybody still interested? I know this is a tender topic but I'm guessing that BellePlaine's priorities have his plate full.

If the weather proves nice we'll probably still go, regardless of a formal group get-together.

It's still too early to believe predictions but as of right now the weather for next week(end) looks beautiful. If it holds out we'll be at Nelson Dewey as planned.

All are welcome to come (it is a free country after all) and we'd love to meet up with some fellow IAC'ers. Show up if you can. BYOB.

Can't make it unfortunately. Moving on the tenth. Still, looking forward to some camping around here though later. Chitown, maybe you can make a trip out to Galena area, or the Illinois River/I and M trip I talked about. There is camping on the canal.

Very cool. What's it like up there? It's windy and slightly wet here, in the 50's. Was on the river a good four hours and my bird finger got numb.
