Me too - I'm sure I'll be forgetting a bunch of stuff this time. Been slammed with work lately.

I'll probably be driving over in the mid-to late afternoon. Might be coming up from the south.

Now tell me, what am I forgetting to bring. :blackeye:

I thought you were bringing all the stuff I've forgotten to bring. Somebody's gotta do it!

I'll declare the trip a success if AAA isn't involved.

The things we go through just to camp.
Sitting here in the sun and 60 degree temps waiting for the rest of the hooligans to show. Going to be another rare weather weekend here on the coast for February.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

The one weekend I go to Portland and everybody is off camping...isn't there anyone around to drink beer? I guess we'll just shop tax free and enjoy the "chance of showers". :bounce:

Hiya All,

Here's a quick tour of the Nehalem get-together from this afternoon......

Nehalem Bay State Park is located along the Oregon coast just a bit south of Manzanita. The park is about midpoint along the beach in this picture...

Image

Approach the parkgrounds and be greeted by this timber arch.....

Image

And once into the camping area VW Busses are omnipresent.......

Image

Image

Troy's Bus and a pretender........

Image

Of course, a good part of the crowd (it seems that almost all of the camping spots were taken by VWs) was due to the WetWesties......

Image

The IACers were at the beachside portion of the loop. Everybody was doing something (even it was just wandering around semicoherently). Dick and Stephan were figuring out how to pep up Dick's engine......

Image

Mark and Bob were toasting oysters.........

Image

Cheers John! While Bob's wife, Erin gets lunch ready.

Image

And a shot of some of the IAC gaggle. Apologies to anybody I did not include - there were a buncha folks down there.

Image

Above: From left to right, Hambone, dtrumbo, Gypsie, IFBWax, and Oregon 72. Gentlemen and scholars one and all.

Here's the main attraction at Nehalem Bay, the Pacific Ocean. And that headland in the distance is where I took the first shot in this sequence.

Image

I was down at Nehalem Bay for the afternoon and I was told that the weather yesterday was fantastic. Temps around 60* and sunshine. Today was a little more like the Oregon coast but still pretty warm and, for the most part, dry.
I have cancer.

It does not have me.

I know I had a jolly good time.
It was nice to old face and meet new ones.
The weather was good two out of four days, and not so bad the other two so I can't complain.
The potuck food was good and a large variety. If you didn't get enough o eat, you just didn't try.

It looks like I'm threatening to kick his butt (as if...)! Thanks Stephan and Mike and Troy for letting me talk out my issues! :drunken:
Maybe it was my imagination, maybe my bus just wanted to get home to see the kids, but it ran a WHOLE lot better going home after our handywork!

Thanks everyone for a great weekend! I'm looking forward to next year!
