Boundary Lake

Post by glasseye » Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:48 pm

At 5500 ft in the Selkirk Mountains an hour's drive from my place, is Boundary Lake - so-called because it's darn near on the USA border. Close enough for smoke to drift across and piss off the DEA's agents who patrol the border on ATV's and who arrested some 872,720 American tokers in 2007 :drunken: The middle bump in the photo is USA, the rest? OURS, ALL OURS. :colors:

The Asstro, while lacking the admitted panache of the Bay :geek: , did well, making the 4000 ft elevation-gain-in-20km mountain trail look easy.

Besides camping, eating gourmet foods and enjoying the last 30C day of summer, I attempted some dragonfly photography. GAWD! Is that ever hard! Took me about a dozen shots to get one that was in focus. These must be about the coolest bugs ever. There were lots of dragonflys and zero mosquitoes.

LOL

I don't want to know what ganglions are. All I know is it sounds like it might need to be removed.

I'll have to get you into my bus and show you where your ganglions are and tickle them myself.

If he synapse off one of your ganglions, don't expect me to be parasympathetic.

Oh my god.... those pictures were... um brilliant doesn't do them justice. I LOVE LOVE the picture of the moon. Oh my god( I refuse to use the acronym) ... those pictures just made my freakin day. I feel the crispness of the air and the eerie silence just looking at them. Oh to have been there must have been awe inspiring.

Nah. Just another day here in the Kootenays. :king:

Thanks for the kudos. I love ganglion-tickling.

It was a beautiful morning. Planning camping trips to coincide with the full moon usually works out well. This one was barely 24 hours long, but chock full of goodness.
