The DTrout has hit it on the head.

Great directions that led me right to the spot (after a bit of a GPS detour.)

Hikin', Bikin', Hootin', Hollerin', smokin', swallerin' (go ahead John, we missed yer hijinks on the trip so fire away.)

Here's some fun:

The place really rocked...

I was hoping to see some spring flowers but the only blooms were these...

Note the ferocious Zoomer track in the snow

I actually did find some flowers but it took some effort

I didn't realize how fashion conscious Spiffy is. Color coordinated footwear and Campware.

(Notice that he is so considerate that he even has his own warning label. It's not just a pop culture saying, it's actually a reminder to be prepared...)

Before leaving this morning Bob was struck by a stray rainbow...

(pot o' gold my A**.)

It was sad to leave...

Swine, alls of youse.

Great pics, glad to hear all about the great times I missed out on, sitting here watching the clock until my weekend begins in a little over two hours now.

Heading up to Amboy, we'll see how much snow is still lingering. Going to run Gretchen, getting to a more accurate compression test Tuesday, maybe rebuild the carb just for good measure (maybe not), then giving her a bit of a highway run from Amboy down to Salem to meet Mike at House of Ghia and get some rubber and a stock side mirror.

Glad everyone had a fantastic time! Now back to work!

Bill brought us home safely and without incident just after 4:30pm.

The weather on the road home was much the same as at the grand campspot, except we didn't get any snow.

Mike's back is hurting bad, so I'm posting some pictures on behalf of both of us.

Thanks for a wonderful time. Hope it's not too long before the next one!

:) Elaine

That looks like a coooold morning. At least you had enough fire wood. :cyclopsani:

We drove through that exact spot on the way out last year. I thought it would be a good campin' spot. Guess so!

I see that snow and I think SALT! Get your bus off of the ROAD! Rust will leave you with nothing, in notime!!!

That's where I am at now as Chicago is thawing out.

Cool trip. Very jealous.

It was weird snow...melted completely by noon, not even wet ground. Not even that cold to tell ya th truth.
I got up at sunrise to take those pics, runnin around like a goon while everybody was sleeping. Mt Hood was cloud free for 5 minutes the entire weekend.

Beautiful.

I was telling turk about the high elevation trek you took last summer. I thought that was way cool. I thought you took your wife on that one, but he couldn't imagine she'd go.
