Here's a secret spot outside of Quincy, Ca.
If you're wondering about the roller skates, we have kids

This is at Bothe State Park in Napa, CA. I got in around 12:30AM and left around 8:30AM on a whirlwind trip to visit my mom. Would have liked to have spent a bit more time there. Thanks for the tip Ritter.

We were at Diamond Lake on the 14th. Still had pockets of snow. Made a snowman with the kids

The 14th of this month? What campground were you in? We were in spot A31 the 12th-15th! Great fishing. Caught the largest trout I've ever landed. 23" 4lbs. Wish I would've known you were there too. How'd you like the skeeters? They were vicious when the wind died down.

More or less where? I lived up there and know the area quite well.

You don't have to tell me exactly.

We pulled in just when the lady was closing up. She mentioned that the H section was about all that was left and to pay in the morning. H-33, IIRC.

We were there as a layover before heading into Bend on the 15th and someone mentioned to try the CG. So I put it on our itinerary. It was the last weekend for first come, first served.
Didn't make it to Crater lake. Maybe next time.

We had a good time in the Bend area. Nice growing city. Friendly people.
Had to get used to NOT pumping my own gas.

static. Just past Oakland Camp.

I used to belong to the UPI gold miners group. They have a claim on that stretch of river. Excellent place to camp. Could fit many vehicles back there. This was our second time there. Had the place all to ourselves , again. I didn't stop by the ranger station for a burn permit. Just another quick layover.
