Updated JULY :drunken:

15-20 Me and Eva, Gypsie Wed-Fri
21-24 Volks Camp viewtopic.php?f=55&t=13095
25-28 Camping with any surprise guests
August TBD, I am not sure how south I am going to get, it is starting to get wild and clear-cutty near Clackamas Lake.

These have been full days! Up in the morning, quick breakfast and then on the trail. Once I hike or find the stretch of trail I drive the Bus further south and continue. If you're coming for only a couple days, I'll stay put, but if you're with me longer prepare to move on. I am on a mission. It is also nice to take a break once in a while!

It looks now that I am leaving this Friday. Please let me know if you can make it, or just show up. I'll figure out some maps tomorrow, it's hard to estimate where the hell I'll be exactly....

Here is the plan for the next few days. I will be at each camp no longer than 2 nights, sometimes 1 night if I can move on. Locations are within 1/2 mile, watch for the orange hubcap if you dare. I will be going from north to south.

camp 1 (starting Friday 7-15) on the old Abbot Rd.

camp 2 (not sure if needed) other side of the mtn. from camp 1 in the clearcuts.
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/45.1224 ... 374,14.75z

camp 3 Clackamas Lake (I'm gonna try to stay at the old ranger station but they may not let me. If not I'll be close by at #4)
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/45.1061 ... 297,15.25z

camp 4 just east of Clackamas Lake
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/45.0964 ... 294,15.25z

camp 5 boonies south of Clackamas Lake in the clearcuts
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/45.0967 ... 318801,14z

camp 6 skyline road
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/45.0717 ... 9734,14.5z

If I can make it that far on this leg I'll be happy. Still a long way to go to Olallie, this may spill over into August.

I'm so bummed. I wish I could get out with you guys to go camping and give Fritz some more exercise, but I'm working all this weekend and won't be able to... :(

Heading out this week with Eva for another 8 days. If you'd like to be added to the SPOT messenger email list (emergencies etc.) please PM me. I only have space for a couple more emails, maybe YOU can bring me a 13mm something, down 12 miles of "road". It sends you a google map link with the coordinates. Oh look I already said that. Well I said it again.
1/2 way to Olallie! Found lots of great old lost trail, and other places lost to fate. Lots of tales to tell, and I've been writing it all down. Most of it.
So far my favorite time has been when I'm alone! It is so nice and quiet. You people talk too much.

Eva and I heading out Sunday for 8 days, Sluggo will be joining us on the 6th I do believe.

Futurecamps (July 31-Aug 7):
1. Rd 4240 https://www.google.com/maps/dir/44.9892 ... 571,14.13z

2. 4230 Rd https://www.google.com/maps/dir/44.9237 ... 646,14.13z

3. Lemiti https://www.google.com/maps/dir/44.9241 ... 371,15.13z
left on 125 Road (if you still can, camp is on Lemiti Ck.)

If you do visit please keep in mind I have work to do, but I will be free in the evenings. #3 would probably be the best bet for socializin' with Sluggo hangin around and lovely Lemiti.
Watch for the orange hubcap, these are for reference only

Back again safe, hell of an 8 days. I am ready to go south of Lemiti.
Sluggo never showed up, not sure what happened, very disappointing. Otherwise a great safe trip and now I am tired.

Tomorrow I'm heading out again for maybe the last leg of this journey. Maybe one more trip after to finish things off.
If you want to camp let me know, otherwise see you on the flip-side.

Have fun out there in the wild, Hambone! Wishing I was going with you! Nothing like solitary time in the wild!

Hi. I am back. Made it to Olallie, would like to go back in a few days with the kid. Sure is beautiful out there.
I am the last Ranger without a doubt.
Missed all of you who never showed up! Which was, no one.

Back from the Skyline, for the last time. My task is complete. It is a good feeling having accomplished this, but of course sad to be at journey's end.
1500 miles in 2 months, all in 1 National Forest. Mama Bus never let me down.
In the end, it is STILL so lovely out there and I hated to leave. Oh those places...

I miss the Clackamas; we need a couple more Bus camps before winter. It is a very different experience with friends.

I'm ready for a camp. September sometime? I've been in way too many crowded state campgrounds lately and need a wilderness camp.
