Damn man, that's a long haul for a weekend. You should swing a couple extra days off to make it worthwhile.

I will, I usually take the Friday before off. *puts back of hand on forehead and tilts head back* for I have traveled these distance for all our campouts....oh woe is me!!! I'm committed to getting out camping with you guys so whatever it takes is whatever it takes.hambone wrote:Damn man, that's a long haul for a weekend. Not wanting to redirect DJ's mid cascades plans but what say we consider moving a bit north (toward Walla Walla??? hint hint). Give Spiffy a break as it were.
Some time in the near future I will reveal details about our new cabin near the Rainier Wa. area. Not ready for visitors yet but I am already planning a parking plan to accommodate as many busses as possible. Not outback but woodsy.
Anywho....shift North for this trek?

So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

It's great that you do it. I'm impressed. Not to mention you have the added benefit of seeing me without a shower for 3 days.
Well you started out the season fine, just gotta make up for lost time. Hell camp season around here has become pretty much an 11 month thing! Who'd thot? Wouldn't be possible without the IAC.

Wow, I had heard a rumor that you had something in the works....then mum was the word. I can't wait to hear about it when you deem the time to be ripe.
I appreciate the notion on the table to move north but either way, you guys build it and I'll make it there. DJ has a pretty healthy drive too, right?
(Maybe I should go back a page or so and look at the place you guys are talking aboot )
Edit: That's true Hammie, and those cold and clammy campouts are my fave.

I suggested Squaw Creek a couple pages back, that IS further north. But I'll leave the sayso up to you fine folks as I've taken up so much of your camp time with ham-dominated-hijinx (and will continue to do so in the future).
Wallawalla is FAR though, and I'm really not familiar with the country SW of there.
