That's cool Mark. No sense prolonging the 'wet sponge' effect. I'll take it easy tomorrow and git things together.

Thanks .. I think I can probably swing a "day trip" out on Saturday in the Scirocco as long as the road isn't too gnarly .. how is the road to Rho Creek anyway? Relative to 4610 around Squaw Lake or Hambone springs so I've got some reference.
Overnight is right out .. not only is the dash taken apart, so is the steering column. No wiper or turn signal switches, steering wheel is on the floor, wires everyplace... it's a mess. Getting better, but a mess all the same.

How's the engine swap (or whatever you decided to do) going?LiveonJG wrote:I've been holding ou on this post for a while, but it now looks like I won't be able to make this one. The rain last weekend slowed me down and things just aren't ready for this trip. Have a good time everyone, I'll tip a few and think of you.

Mushrooms everywhere. No one along to positively identify. The 'lil purple ones were coaxing me...but I didn't know whether they'd thrill me or kill me.
Hambone and I had a great time. And the weather cooperated! Only a bit of rain Friday night, and a good downpour on Saturday for 30 minutes or so. Other than that, DRY! (clammy, but not raining). Great spot, right along a babbling brook. Got dutch ovens 'tis time to cook. Great hikes and stoney stumbles, great food and wonky wumbles. A bit of music here and there, and Hal appearing from nowhere. Trees and moss and mushrooms grow, Hambone says "there's a trail, let's go" Cougar poop and black bear scat, tracks that lead and to there and that. Where's Dr. Seuss when you need him most? Prolly campin' on the coast. Other campers just say phooeey! Yeah, they're all with the Vanagons at Champooooy!
