I'm saving this! But need a long-term storage/work space.

Post locations of Air-Cooled VW's that need to be saved from destruction. Post pics if possible.

And I really like the idea of checking out hangar space. The key would be to know if they would let me work on her there.

Storage is a stickler. We're waiting until Cheryle's parents leave on a trip and then we're going to sneak Betty Baja up here.

"Baja, what baja? Oh that baja. Oh no, it's been there all this time. You never noticed before? Really. Huh."

Trying to butter the inlaws up to the value of a small bone yard. Then those "free" VWs might migrate up here. My long term plan.

Good luck Paige!

I would bet if you find a place that would let you store her there, they'd let you work on her there. You must, must, must, clean up after yourself. Aircraft mechanics are sticklers for cleanliness. A good thing.

Sweet score!
Hows that newly rebuilt engine treating you?

The rebuild is great! When the rain lets up I need to get under there and see how things are faring...check on all the nuts & bolts, see if they're still attached. :-) There's a little oil leak I need to investigate as well and swap out the turn signal/high beam assembly and attach the last piece of exhaust and bellows on the passenger side. C'mon spring! :-)

Congrats and nice work!

Great idea regarding checking things out nuts and bolts wise! Being that
I'm 4,000 miles in on my rebuild, I can attest that's a great idea!
