A big thanks to Michael and his lovely wife, & Hambone and my Gravy bandmate, Dave.
We successfully removed the spare engine from MZ and got it tucked away in the backyard. Had a very long discussion with Hambone on what to do next...here's the "plan":
Tear down the spare and crack open the case to see what I've got. Take it and its guts to Dan Hall's to see if it's a solid block to work with. If it is, that gets the work and new parts and I use MZ's top half and put them together.
I'm going to clear out a space in the basement and hope to have it knocked out by November. I'll have to use someone else's garage to put it all back together but I think I can do it. May need some advisement and extra hands in the process but I don't feel as overwhelmed. It's really now all about money.
