Yikes, $40 to camp on asphalt. Any place to camp for free around there? There must be a subtle side street or dune...
Funny, at one time that didn't seem like so much money. Now I can shine as a really cheap bastard.

Ok I paid $48.00 with the service fee but it is "Discovery Season" and
should $16.00 per night.

Off seasons rates (October 1 thru April 30 - referred to as the Discovery Season) are:

* $16 electrical hook-up*
* $12 horse camp
* $5 airport camp
* $27 yurt
* $4 hiker/biker
* $7 extra vehicle

There are some good options. Not sure about the airport camp. I do know that there are some stealthy options in the area too. As this is a group deal, I think you should go with "* $4 hiker/biker" option. Hey look,, extra vehicle for $7.00 per night.

Yeah you are the stealth master. I'd like to do something like that.
Truth be told I'm just not a big fan of state parks. Jaw dropping.

Bob.. seems like I've heard of some folks camping on that road by the beach in Manzanita.
The best navigators aren't sure where they're going until they get there. And then they're still not sure.

Wayne, do you know which street? Sounds like a fun adventure and a way to still see you guys. Of course I'd have to limit my :drunken: which may not be a bad thing...

Mike, Will do on the add....

Bob, I know a great spot. There are some empty lots that have not been build on and there is access. Or the airport by night $5.00 and in the CG by day with the others. I would do the first option with yea on Thursday.

A19 - Friday and Saturday...gonna try'er again this year, see if we can make it. It's getting too expensive to "sell" my spot to someone else and not get reimbursed. :-s

Nope, carbs leaking to the point that they kept eating up valve cover gaskets - opted not to push the old girl until we rebuilt the carbs and stopped the valve cover gaskets from constantly melting (corrected now, all we need to do is drop the engine and replace a bunch of seals). I sold the spot to another VW person, but never got paid for it...
