Sounds like you have it covered. Camera, guitar? Book? Pillow?

Coffee?

I want to take at least 3 naps this trip.

Snap wrote:OK, now I have read all the previous posts I can finally chime in and comment on all my questions and comments about this trip.
I will pitch 10$ on the keg and bring some of my own since I am so late on commenting. What did you end up picking up Deschutestrout? (curious)
After I was told the ranger was a Nazi about doubling up spots I called ReserveAmerica. The person I talked there said that there would be no problem with having two vehicles in a single spot just as long as the vehicles are completely on the pad. Since the ranger and ReserveAmerica people are not on the same page I have a good argument. From what it sounds like the ranger is just kind of dick that wants to limit people. I don't see the difference between two vehicles and a vehicle pulling a trailer if the vehicle was a van that people could sleep in.
From what it sounds like I will need to bring tons of firewood, lots of beer (and or other intoxicants), beer for the tasting session, my IAC Potluck food, rain shelter, chair, and a space heater. Besides other personal cooking/ other gear & food, what else am I missing?

If someone is going to be sleeping in both vehicles they will be considered campers. You might get lucky this time but be prepared to move one of them. I've been attending this campout for years and it's been an issue every one of them. Reserve America has no affiliation with any of the parks they take reservations for. They are a separate entity and don't make the rules.

Just a friendly heads up.

Snap I think you pretty much nailed it. Except musical instruments and such if you play.

In terms of the site and multiple cars. I think the way they look at is that they want one Camper and one "standard" vehicle per site max.

1.camper and 1 "Extra" vehicle for like $7 or so as they say on Reserve America.

Gonna be Blastafication!!!!

If it's two VW campers, you'll likely run into issues based on experience...depends on how anal the rangers and camphost are...but in the past, they've given anyone who's tried it grief. Worth a try though...but be prepared to spring for a 2nd site. Ready to head west! Thursday noon....sushi!!!!

I "believe" the place in Manzanita gets them fresh on Friday....so Jasan...swing by if you feel like it and grab some! Or, if the weather is nice, I may bike over there Friday. Oysters...we need oysters.

How will IFBwax do 3 naps with the 36 hour Bocce Tourny going?

IFBwax, you grew up in Porterville Ca.? The wealthiest people in all of Ca. per capita at one time.

Mark, the bike ride to Oysterville is kind a far no? Don't you have to climb that hill back to town and leave a lung on the side of the road to get there?

Porterville? I never heard that, but I did hear that about Exeter. That's a very small nearby farming town where Nixon spent some time growing up.

Gonna start packing the bus today.

I thought that you had said in a prior post that you where from Porterville? Beer Land?

I believe that you are correct about Exciter which right is next door. And Porterviller is like a one street town. Have you ever been?

Any clamming in the area this time of year anyone know?? Fried clam strippies!!!

Not sure we will make it for Sushi, I have some things I have to do before we leave town. Probably meet you all at Nehalem by around 1-2 pm.
