OK, I gotta brag just a wee bit...

Went to the Dubtoberfest with Meyer, Annie and Notchback... Annie's Pearl placed first in her class, and my Emily placed 2nd in hers - how fun is that!

There, I feel better now, just so tickled you know. And, I got to see Meyer's Variant in person, it's lovely.

You forgot one, Margaret!

And this is my story and I'm sticking with it -- the primary reason why there was no award for me:

Anyways - once again - it was a pure pleasure meeting you and that clever boy of yours. Let's do it again real soon. If you are ever in the Seattle area, the door is always open.

I wasn't sure how many pictures I could steal, I still think your Variant is lovely, and would've won on popular vote considering how many positive compliments came your way. We should do that more often, that was fun.

One of these years, we're going to have a SEWR conference at the Classic. I just know it.

Thanks for the nice comments about the Variant (and you know how much I like that clean bus of yours). It tends to do better when I pull the camper with me, but then I'm too slow to travel with anybody else. The big problem, of course, is that T3s are grouped (correctly) with T34s, and T34s are going to win every time. I actually beat out another T34 to take second in class at Vintage Meet, but that's because it was a popular vote, not a judged thing.

And I don't know that I really blame 'em. The only thing harder than finding parts for an early T3 is finding parts for an early T34. Low light Ghias, Ovals and split busses are probably easier: later split Beetles and barndoor busses harder. Early split Beetles, Hebs, Schwimwagens and Kubels nearly impossible. Everything else, relatively easier.

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen .....

What was the "E" for? I had a early 64 1500 S SB, loved that car..
