I need to stop visiting this thread.....I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go! Looking ahead....those of us not fortunate enough to be on the Arctic Circle trip....we should maybe plan a small trip of our own over the solstice???? 3 or 4 nighter somewhere in the outback of Oregon or Washington?

I'm sorry you can't make it. Didn't get much of a chance to talk to you in June, you had yer hands full with the Rendevous and so did I with Eva! :blackeye: Well, we're a campin' bunch so I'm sure we'll have plenty of trips in store in the future, especially when Spring hits. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your country out there and we need ta get you out to the rainy parts too.
Haven't heard from Gypsie, wonder if he's out too?

Speaking of wood, does anyone have a gas chainsaw they can bring? Might be nice to use if there is any excess blowdown. I have a hand saw I can throw in if not. I hope the warm winds hold through the weekend.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

It is with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye that I type these words. I will not be able to swing this trip. Family matters and diminished ducats are keeping me home. I am not complaining too loudly as I am having a big four-oh b-day bash next week that will surely find me bleary eyed and blathering about 'dem good ole' days before the night is over.

I will send my most positive vibes for a safe journey to all of you. I would also like to offer up my propane radiant heater (big round catalyst on top of a 5 gal tank) and a chainsaw (and a splitting maul if you want). I will even deliver if necessary. If I can't go at least my gear can get out there.

PM me and I will make arrangements with whomever if you so choose.

Jasan, do you have a GPS for your topo software. I love them maps. I have a garmin and love to "save" trips I have done in the past on my computer.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

My house was robbed this afternoon. At best I won't be able to make the 12pm meet up. If you guys want, I could probably catch up, thanks to all the great maps. I'm still planning on making the trip.

Everyone's ok. They didn't take much, some jewlery, a dvd player, some dvds. We weren't home at the time. It's more a feeling of getting the carpet pulled out fom under you. The more and more I think about it though, it doesn't ssem the right thing to do to leave for the weekend. I had just got the last few things together this afternoon too. There'll be other trips. You guys have a good time.
