Spooky

Like running into the Mary Celeste, a friend of mine invited me the the Peach State Transporters meeting earlier this month, but I didn't go. I haven't belonged to a club since I was in German Dreams in Ft. Walton Beach in the 90's. They do not exist anymore, I think they were assimilated into Rare Air in Pensacola. Anyway, I found the Peach State Transporters web site, and it appears they haven't updated it since 2005, with a few people asking if there was anyone left. Weird, here is the link, looks like ancient history to me, a ghost site:

http://www.peachstatetransporters.com/index.php

And this one, from 1997:

Cool logo though: Image
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

I once ran across a dead VW forum. It was like walking through a ghost town. It did feel creepy.
