Um, yeah.

It somehow didn't get posted ... I screwed up the code somehow, but it's fixed so you can go back and read it.

Well, I am having some serious engine probs now. I suspect it is the flywheel teeth. I'm hoping it is just the starter. Anyway, we are doing all we can to get it fixed by the weekend. Static, I found a really cool lantern at the goodwill. It was $15. If you would like, I'll go back and get it for you. It's still in the box. Didn't look too closely, but I can go back if you want.

Thanks, but no thanks. I am trying to downsize my entire life right now, and intend upon getting rid of at least 2/3 of my lantern collection ASAP.

(Also, I'll bet that swapping out your starter for a used bus starter will make the problem go away)

Bus is running great. Looks like we will be there Saturday morning. Can't wait. My bus has been out of commission for too long.

It was fabulous! Perfect weather, (not at all like Ontario, Canada) great people, good food and nobody's bus broke down.

We had a Split, some early Bays, a late Bay, aircooled Vanagon, Diesel Vanagon, Watercooled Vanagon and even a Eurovan in attendance!

Well lets set March 13-15th as a GTG. It'll be here quickly.
I'm going to look at two spots this Saturday. Lake Amador and Lake Solano.
Anyone know about Spring Lake near Santa Rosa.

Link to lake Solano. I Like the upper left corner of this map. Nicely grouped. Just have to see. 30-33 and 62-66

It's nice. Kinda busy and "in town" though. I've never checked the camping spots so am unsure.

What about a Sonoma County ocean experience? Might be nice and cold and windy! Here are two possibilities by Bodega Bay.

Does this mean you'll be joining us?? Need 5 spots minimum if doubling up or a group site that's RV friendly to circle the wagons or wagens

I'm a little anxious to see Lake Solano. Should have ample trees to help with bad weather.
I lived in fairfield for a long time and used to frequent the Day Use side. It was also a stopping point when riding Motorcycles.

I believe that February will be wet. We need it anyway.

Just found out about Rancho Seco near Galt. It is in close proximity to Lake Amador I'll try to swing by there also for a looksie.

I'm not sure that weekend works for me but I am getting anxious to attend one of the Bay Area get togethers. I just threw out the coast options for the future.

Camping in March

Post by larry209 » Sun Feb 08, 2009 3:47 pm

Sounds like a winner for March. Couldn't make the Rio Vista GTG and look forward to getting date and location from yall for next camout. We are ready to go and get some good times of fishing and hanging out around the fire. We will have to leave on a sat. night but will probably get to where ever on a thursday. When we can make it we will be there. I keep my eyes open in Camper family and lurk there a lot so I won't miss to much.

Thanks for all the info you can get out ASAP
