PDX Gathering

Post by gorge runner » Wed Sep 03, 2008 10:06 am

Hi All,

In lieu of this week's Lucky Lab gathering, this Thursday evening all are invited to a gathering of Vanagons and Buses of all vintages at Cathedral Park in Portland. We'll start gathering around 6-6:30.

From my post on the Samba,
This could be really exciting get together because we might have a line-up of VW Buses and Vanagons of several distinct vintages: from pure stock air-cooled Bay window buses and early Vanagons, water cooled Vanagons of all sorts, normally aspirated Subaru conversions, a TDI or two and the more exotic turbo charged Subaru's. So, bring your camera--we may have a nice little photo op here.
Of course, meeting everyone will be great too, that is after all the whole point.

Here is the map to Cathedral Park

And since you'll be thirsty, there is a McMenamin's right down the street, or a place that could use our money even more, The Portway Tavern.

The weather will be perfect and this is yet another great opportunity to meet others in the PDX VW culture.

See ya there!,

It's not "air-cooled", but it does have an air compressor. Does that count?

Hope to make it. $$$ are tight but I may be able to squeeze a few free.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

Hey Gypsie!

I think we'll have a nice turnout. So, tip the couch upside down and raid the piggy bank. Weather will be perfect!
