That's about 30 minutes or so away from home. You won't hear me complain about that.

It's not at all like what I saw in the pictures of Galena. You won't have the privacy, but it is right on the lake and there are trails around the park. Standard campground with electric at most sites, although not much space in-between. Booze allowed in designated sites...If you close your eyes you can even hear the hum of the Nuclear power plant in the distance. :alien:

We almost had an invite to a private military campground. Navy in fact right there at Great Lakes naval base. But the deal fell through. Anyway, I'm up for anything. I don't think the State Park is cool with letting dogs run around free and I know chitwn wants to let them have some fun. The place in Michigan would be cool with it I think. But that's even farther. Past ka-zoo.

Hippie and locoqueso,
we're gonna tough it out at WW. Bring raingear. It will be fun. I'm sure Hippie knows some cool stuff in the area. There is a cave in Iowa where we can get some relief from the heat and humidity or there are some rather rough swimming options for free not too far -- the Mississippi, the Fever River, and a few other creeks that should be running strong now, maybe too strong. We should get some tarps. I have a few.

New pop-top seals were installed last weekend.
