Hey,

Just realized that Colin's swing through Portland is the weekend of the 24th-26th. He's scheduled to be out at Wayne's place on Saturdya (25th) with a Lucky Lab visit that evening.

Grrrrrrrrrrummble..I thought he was supposed to be here in September?
And you already have plans on Labor Day...
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET YOU CAMPING!?!?!?
Hmm I may miss Colin this time around, I really need some wilderness peace time. It's been a hectic crazy summer with my daughter here and OTHER FACTORS THAT SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS!! Mebbe I'll just go somewhere alone, I sure need some sacred space. We'll see what happens.

Labor Day weekend works best for me. Don't know if I'll do three days though. Working Labor Day is a big cash day for me. Double time and a half. Gotta pay for those ferries the following week.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

The latter part of Labor Day weekend may work for me after all. We got a note today from our friend down south, and their trip to Florence that we were invited to join them at has been cancelled .. something about having to replace all the plumbing in the house.

I be workin' on Saturday and have a shindig to attend that evening -- co-worker is gettin' hitched -- but I outta be able to make it out Sunday morning-ish.

That's not a bad idea and it's right up Stephan's alley.

I hate to do it but I have to officially bogue on this trip prior to the San Juan trip.
Still hoping to make kinzel lake before the winter, if possible.

(P'raps the late summer/early fall trip?)

My mom is coming to live with us at the end of September and we have remodeling to do, bla bla bla....

Weenie.

I was hoping to see you riding on a unicycle while dressed as a jester, juggling .. well, something.

Got the OK from my other half this morning to go camping without her, won't be able to head up until the morning of the 2nd. I'm debating whether or not to bring the dogs...

I think Kinzel is too far for an overnight. That road scares me, I was on about 4 miles of it and it's pretty bad. I'd do it, but only for a longer stay.

Hey! What about Twin Springs like we planned back in May but were stopped by snow? That's only an hour or so from Portland and people could come and go at will...if not there, then somewhere else closeby.
There's also a series of lakes that used to be a glacier. Squaw Lakes.

I understand Stephan, you gotta keep the peace. But if it were closer........you could ride with me too to save costs.

Man I wish I could get the hell out NOW. Anyway what say you chaps?
