This oughta be interesting. Aug. 19 is my anniversary and camping out in the van is more like a tolerated activity than a burning desire for my sweetie...

I shall begin the charm and such right away...
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

The dates are flexible! I just wanted to put the vibe out there. I say we pick a different date................
But, I'll still probably head out on August 17-19 with the family if anyone is interested in heading out. The last weekend before my kid goes back.

Of the dates in teh current subject line, the weekend of August 24-26 would be far better than Sept 1-3 (Labor Day) for us. We got a card from our friend Caroline teh other day, she and her sister are staying at a beach house in Florence that weekend and invited us to come down .. we haven't seen them in years.

OTOH, it might be safer to go camping with y'all that weekend instead, what with me wanting to get into Caroline's pants before we moved ..

Not a thing. It's just that her pants are really cute when she's in them.No idea of the cutness of her pants when she's out of them, but I wouldn't mind finding out.

I really want to make this one but it's going to depend on where I'm at on the engine. If I can get it done by the 18th/19th it might be the maiden voyage for the Camper Special.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

I want to see Kinzel lake so bad I can taste it (uh the want, not the lake).

I fear that there may be too many camp trips in the near future (San Juans, Champoeg,). How late in the season do you think we can go?

This weekend is out.

Give a call and we'll think on it over a pipe and a schooner.

Last I heard Hal was available on the 25th of Aug but he's not exactly a frequent poster!
I want to go to Kinzel too, have a real hankerin' for some fresh trout and some AWAY time from the insanity I call "home".
I don't think I'm going to Champoeg tho.

Perhaps a swap out will be in order.... I am not necessarily 'wed' to the Champoeg idea. I liked Nehalem Bay tho.

Is it too soon to mention snow camping? Cross country skiing at one of the roadside trailheads. May have to dig out if theres any plowin.

Just puttin it out there.

Kinzel Lake the 25th....? I'll have my people contact your people... we'll do lunch...
