Camping is being farmed out, in many states, to reserveamerica.com. It's a real racket at privatization of state facilities, and they are he ones responsible for raising the camping rates. It has happened here in Florida too, and makes it difficult to just drive in and get a site. Corporate greed is a real scourge, that is rampant in this country. Ah, the days of the 7.00 a night camp fee is a dim memory.

Who's planning to leave Friday afternoon from the Portland area? Do you need to make reservations or can you show up and hope for a spot?

I will be headed for Nehalem Friday morning from a friends place in Banks and hope to catch some keeper crab in the bay that afternoon. I have reserved spots for my group in A-loop (A22, A24, & A26). As you may have noticed B & C loops are closed for utility upgrades but D,E, &F are open. D & E are reserveable and F is a first come first serve. I do not think there will a problem at all to find a spot in those loops. However, it will fairly decent walk to A-Loop from D,E, & F loops. Last time I looked, A-Loop was completely booked. In previous years I would not reserve a spot and snag one in B-Loop near the A-Loop beach access Friday evening/ afternoon without any issues. I think VistaCruzer so far is the only other one that has committed to this trip.

I can do Friday afternoon and grab a spot in the D-E-F area. My only debate is whether or not to bring a bike for trekking to A loop or figure on using the Bus to get there...

Replaced the shut off valve and hose on her propane tank and have it all bolted in place, stove works good. Still working on the headliner / dome light setup.

DjEpp stopped over Saturday to use the machine shop, finished his prototype project around midnight and he's crashed out I the motorhome. Melissa went with Finn up skiing for her first time but her bus is here. We did install the new map light in the old headliner Sat afternoon and it works good. Haven't tried programming the home link yet.
Couple friend are also coming out this morning around 10:00, moving the old lathe out and the "new to me" lathe in.
Message me when your finished up with Paige, should be home.

Cool, I'll ping you later. Probably should stop at home to eat dinner and pick up that Dometic fridge before heading out, and can't be too late because we both have to work tomorrow morning...
