I will see if I can make it to this, only 5 hours down the road.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Looks like my boys birthday party will override this camp out for me, sorry Steve.

Sylvester, maybe it just ain't in the cards.Sylvester wrote:Looks like my boys birthday party will override this camp out for me, sorry Steve.
Colin, it would still be nice to see you.
Believe it or not, there is usually only a little, I mean very little, political talk at the Bus campout. However, we certainly can discuss a little, and, pay no attention if I keep asking you to "gaze into the fire"..

We should be able to look at the predicted forecast in a week or so, although the accuracy isn't that good until the last few days.
Just in case it is something you possible could do I will give you some
more info.
I estimate 18+ buses this year. As always, a variety of people.
We count buses, probably three times as many people than buses.
This is the 8th year I think.
We had 22 and 23 buses the first two years.
Then the economy hit and we went down to 13 or so but have seen more folks make it out each year since.
No set plans or agenda. They rent canoes and Kayaks at this place. Sometimes people have brought there own to take in the Suwanee River which runs right by this place.
Usually we have one big central fire going in the evenings, also during the day if it is cold enough. I purchase a load of wood for $100.00 and then people usually donate to that and it is paid for.
It is interesting the difference between online and in person.
IE, the number of people that get upset with me in person is practically zero, what a contrast. I could joke about it, maybe a Dr Jeckly Mr Hyde thing, but nah, it is mostly due to what it usually is due to, lack of hearing the words and seeing facial expressions makes for funky interpretation online.
