Weber IDF Rebuild Kits

Post by Sluggo » Wed Nov 08, 2006 11:42 am

Anyone ever use the Weber IDF / HPMX Carb Rebuild Kit from CIP1? It looks good. I'm just looking for a kit with beefier gaskets.

Nope. Used the regular rebuild kit and got some nice heavy gaskets from CB Performance.

I just ran across this thread, but if you're looking for cheap rebuild kits buy them from Alfa on ebay.

http://stores.ebay.com/ALFA1750S-CARBUR ... ARTS-STORE

I bought two of the kits for my 40IDF's for 11.90 each plus I think 4 bucks shipping. At 13.90 a piece thats about 24 bucks cheaper than any of the regular crap rebuild kits you can find at cip1 or CB Performance. I can vouch his kits are quality old parts. You have to specify what type carb you have like Italian webers or Spanish made but I've gotten my kits in just over a week.

He also sells jets for dirt cheap. Usually less than 2 bucks a jet! It definately helps too seeing as you generally need 4 idles, 4 mains, 4 vents which can get expensive at 8 bucks or more in general.

Gabriel (alfa1750) on e-Bay ROCKS! I got my Weber 36s from him. Recommended by Ratwell too. He'll even make sure you have the correct ports and jet it to your specs if you request it. He didn't even charge extra.
