78 FI rebuilt fuel pumps?

Post by DurocShark » Thu Oct 19, 2006 9:37 am

I went ahead and ordered one from Bus Boys:
Fuel Pump - Electric - Rebuilt - Exchange

Now available as an affordable rebuilt, we feels these pumps are as good, if not better than Bosch new ones. Warranty is 6 months.

251-906-091X 1975-1979 $126.75 PLUS $40.00 Core
Anybody tried these?

My thoughts?
Just buy one brand new for $159. And this is a good investment because they do hold up for awhile.

What, are they Italian craftsmen?
"We feels theyz as good as ya gonna gets, or else! Kapische?"
Colin :bom:
(they are worth a try. I am not necessarily enamored of the word "new" as far as quality goes. It is possible that the rebuilt ones have been more carefully assembled and tested. . . . possibly)

That was my thinking. Even if they just replace all the rubber seals I'm probably ahead of the game. ;)
