Replace Fuel Filter After Running FI Cleaner?

Post by Velokid1 » Mon Oct 16, 2006 12:19 pm

Just installed FI and the fuel rails smelled of varnish, according to Colin. (The nose knows.) Injectors were used, etc. So I'm running a couple tanks of gas through with FI cleaner.

When I finish running those tanks through, should I replace the fuel filter? I'm assuming anything dislodged by the FI cleaner will end up in the filter.

Thanks.

Wouldn't hurt but not necessary unless you are getting bucking.
I would probably let it be and carry a spare just in case.

Good precautionary measure though.
