Checking Temp Sensor II

Post by hambone » Thu Oct 20, 2011 2:03 pm

D jet F.I.
Per Bentley "around 300 OHMS", but it doesn't say how to test.
I put the ohmmeter leads on each of the terminals, with a result of ZERO with sensor installed. I am thinking the sensor is bad; if someone can confirm then please let me know!

If you get 0 that means the sensor is shorted and bad. A much more normal bad sensor would be an open or infinite resistance. Are you sure the 2 probes weren't touching each other?
Take care,
Rick
