The patch and the rocker that I made used 16 Ga. material. It made it easier to put down a continuous bead when welding the 18 Ga floor panel to it and it was a free scrap left over from work. I still was only allowed to put down 1" long stitch welds instead of spot welds pilled together. I like having the heat to make good penetration and burn through any remaining contaminates. I did try to increase the travel speed but when I hit any contaminated material the bead would look like crap.Sylvester wrote:How thick is the metal on top of the rocker?
