Post by misszora » Fri Jul 04, 2008 8:25 am

Hello all,

Was there ever a definitive answer to, "What paint should I use to paint my valve covers and engine tins?"

thanks!

I like Krylon semi-flat black. Stays on. The .97 Wal-mart paint falls off.

You do not need to waste $$ on hi-temp barbeque paint. The Krylon is perfect.

I have used anything from expensive to cheap black spray paint. The verdict: the cheapo stuff works just fine. Maybe the high temps cooks it on? I dunno. Just make sure you clean the old paint with Gumout or the new stuff won't stick.
