Hiya Hammy,

Just to be clear...............you're referring to a round red reflector used on a 68 or 69, correct?

YEaH that's the one...
I really need both reds. They make replacements now, at $30 each (for a reflector).

Hi Ham, I got a box of parts from regalssr (Steve) that includes a :cherry: one for El plus extras. Have not gone thru all yet.But will send you any I don,t need. Did you trash the rubber also? And who is selling the repos @ 30 bucks???? Yicks, I bought a couple of reflectors (same size) at the napa store up in this neck of the woods before Steve came thru. Good luck and let me know if you are still looking. are you sure you don,t need the keys to the steering lock?

Hiya Ham,

HooBoy! Lotsa luck on that one.

I was going to suggest the repop 'cause I haven't seen the round reds (in any kind of decent usable shape) for a long time. My understanding is that the rubber bases for those things are even harder to find.

Hammie, checked out some of my parts boxes and I have one extra red Hella, but it does have checkering, not crackes. I have used clear nail polish to kinda fuse the look on other plastic lenses but always get the good ones when I can. You are welcome to it if ya want. I checked out bus boys and cant really tell by the drawings how good they are. I would never pay that price for repos. The reflectors I got from napa for about $5.00 or less would have to have a hole drilled in middle, but that is easy to do. Let me know, also have extra amber ones.

Only if you can spare it. How much ya want for it?

These are probably the same ones, and include the rubber base. I wonder how long they'll last before they fade like the later bay reflectors?

If you're gonna do that, might as well save some $$$ and do this.

Those must be the same ones as Ebay,Busboys, etc. with varying prices. Still, the quality is unknown...can't be as good as German.
At least the gasket is included. But a PAIR FOR $55! geez

Dang! Didn't notice the eBay thing was for a pair. That's a little better at least.

Have you tried e-mailing Ken at www.thebusco.com ? He might have some original Hella's for a reasonable price.

Nothing, well maybe a peach someday :flower: But it is origanal and needs to be touched up inside the rim ie; plastic chrome rim. Can,t tell if the ones on ebay really have chrome rims. That would be swell and should be for $55. Is the one on your bus original?
