Nosecone to Chassis Seals

Post by whc03grady » Sat Mar 26, 2016 10:34 am

Sick of me and my dumb questions yet?

211301289A fits better on the shaft but 211711115A has a hole for the screw. (That's what she said.)

Does ...115A supersede ...289A?
Ludwig--1974 Westfalia, 2.0L (GD035193), Solex 34PDSIT-2/3 carburetors.
Gertie--1971 Squareback, 1600cc with Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection from a '72 (E brain).

No. The bellow's style of boot is for the earlier 002 transaxles in the Type 1 buses and the sleeve style is for the later Type 4 002 and 6 rib 091 transaxles.

Where can I find the second sleeve, 211711115A? Can't seem to locate a US distributor.

I actually can't find a US supplier.

Interestingly enough, JustKampers doesn't stock the late boot. That's a bummer, because BusDepot has a partnership with JK, and BusDepot will usually import anything you ask with little to no fees.

My folks are coming over in June from the UK. If there's much demand I'm sure they wouldn't mind bring several with them.
Any other small NLA items that are still available in EU?

Where do I begin?

Sliding door track seal (it is the white rubber seal) and I will take a boot if they stick one in their luggage.

I can always pay for them to carry another bag on the flight. PM me your requirements and all going well, I should have them for you when you visit.

This is a slow conversation.
Hey tommu, I am up for a sliding door track white vinyl thingamabob, it can be coiled up easily and stuck in anyone's suit case and stick chachi's boot in the little toiletries pouch.

Chachi - I should have some nosecones boots in June. If you still need one by then I'll post it.

Well, Naranja could use that, but no. The photograph shows Chloe, a seven passenger bus that you have seen in person. There is no curtain on a seven-passenger bus. I photographed the interior where you can see the sliding door track that has a white vinyl extrusion. I can't imagine that being translated to a huge white curtain protector for a Westfalia.

According to microfiche this is part 253843196A 581:

Most sites list this (incorrectly?) as just a T25 Vanagon part:

https://www.vwheritage.com/253843196a-t ... loud-white

Is this what you need? Let me know and you shall have it in August.
